• Since its founding in 1989, Béaba has become a well-known player in the field of babycare (ages 0 to 2). The company is dedicated to making life easier for "modern mums", identifying and meeting their needs by producing a range of practical, multi-purpose and attractively-designed articles. The company's 63 products fall into 4 categories:
- feeding: from bottles to meals (with the famous "Babycook").
- hygiene and healthcare,
- sun protection, safety and comfort,
- transport.
Béaba's team of 34 people, divided between marketing/sales, development/design, purchasing and logistics, creates products that are distributed via specialist retailer networks (Aubert, Le Monde de Bébé, Natalys), non-food mass retailing (Toys’R’Us, Darty, Galeries Lafayette), mail order firms (La Redoute, Les 3 Suisses), wholesalers (Bébé Futé) ans since 2009 in its own store.

• Nature of the deal : MBO
• The experience and professionalism of the teams and strong brand recognition were the main reasons for Capzanine choosing a mix of mezzanine and equity financing for its investment at the time of this secondary LBO organized par CIC Finance. The Fund was thus able to accompany Béaba in its development of new products and pursuit of export growth.
